Coding Pathways with Ozobots in PE – PHE America

I love finding creative ways to incorporate STEAM into Physical Education. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. I was at my daughter’s Open House for her enrichment class in Bayport where she was showing me how her class was using Ozobots to practice coding. I was immediately intrigued by these little coding robots. I immediately noticed how the students’ faces lit up with excitement as they explained to their parents all the functions you could perform with them. Immediately I thought, “what if we combine fitness activities with coding”? What a great way to relate to the…

Small Business Optimism Rose in September Despite Inflation Worries

An index of small business optimism edged up slightly by 0.3 points in September to a reading of 92.1 as sales expectations rose, according to the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). A Simple Mental Preparation Model – PHE America

(2 Minute Read) In my experience as a Mental Performance Coach most of the questions I get regarding performance can be answered by creating a mental plan. Mental plans can be as simple or complex as needed. They can be made to address everything from general day-to-day life to sport performance, including, but not limited to pre-competition, competition, post-competition and recovery plans. The FACE plan provides a simple, easy to use structure to build a mental plan. FACE is an acronym that stands for Ffocus, Aattitude, Cconfidence, and Eenergy. Loosely borrowed from the military’s contingency PACE planning strategy, the FACE…

As the restaurant’s owner, Nguyen has since faced a nightmarish pivot to curbside pickup, fear for the health of employees and customers and rising operating costs that placed a further strain on her business. Hers is a familiar story, one that’s been replicated across industries and states since early 2020. But unlike the hundreds of thousands of…
