One incredibly important document that your parents should have in place is a Medical Durable Power of Attorney.

What is a Medical Durable Power of Attorney?

It is a document that instructs healthcare professionals what your wishes are if you become incapacitated. It also names the person you want to make decisions on your behalf.

A Medical Durable Power of Attorney can come in many forms and include a variety of clauses.
