Lubbock business news includes holidays, health, more
Hello AJ readers!
The holidays are upon us, which means holiday stories will lead the business section for a while. This week, we shared where you can get holiday meals with low effort, pet safety tips for the holidays, and where you can get your pet the purr-fect holiday gift.
This week’s business openings include a second location for Vitality Bowls, a first location for Marco’s Pizza and the opening of La Placita. Dillards also announced a plan to replace their two stores in the South Plains Mall with one larger store in the former Sears location, also in the mall. The American Bank of Commerce will celebrate its 60th anniversary later this month. Twin Oaks Pharmacy also closed their business on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

This week’s best bite belongs to Bar Room – Lubbock, for an excellent Chocolate and Strawberry French Toast. This place has been on my list of places to try for several weeks, so when I saw their brunch menu, I had to try it. I officially dub this as the best French Toast in town, that I’ve tried so far. Even the bacon was perfect, exactly how my grandma makes it. Their brunch menu changes weekly, but if this is the constant level of deliciousness, I’m sure every item is a hit. I’ll look forward to trying it again soon!
Since this column runs on Sundays, I’ll also take this opportunity to wish everyone who is celebrating this week a happy holiday! As always, thank you for reading and supporting AJ.
