Italian ATV maker launches affordable electric off-road vehicles

The off-road world is changing, with Egimotors, the Italian importer of Polaris, introducing two new brands: Anther Europe and WEV Electric. The launch took place at the historic Motocross Malpensa track, a venue known for its world-class challenges since the 1950s.
Affordable ATVs and UTVs
Anther Europe aims to offer a range of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) at accessible prices. The brand’s lineup includes four ATVs and four UTVs with mono or twin-cylinder engines ranging from 500 to 1,000 cc. These vehicles are designed for both recreational and professional use and can be homologated as L7e quadricycles with a top speed of 90 km/h or T3b agricultural tractors with a top speed of 60 km/h.
The UTV U500, U650, U1000, and U1000 Cargo models are intended for work purposes and are registered as T1b agricultural tractors. They come with a full cabin as standard, providing improved protection and comfort for daily use. Anther’s pricing strategy is a key factor, with prices around half of those for equivalent Polaris models, focusing on vehicle functionality and operational capabilities at affordable costs.
Electric UTVs and Golf Cars
WEV Electric, on the other hand, focuses on the progressive electrification of off-road vehicles. Their range includes fully electric UTVs that combine automotive solutions with golf car components. The WEV Ev S80 is a three-seater UTV with an 80 kW motor and a 17.5 kWh battery, offering switchable all-wheel drive suitable for demanding work conditions with low traction. It has a declared range of approximately 100 km and features half-doors, a touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay integration, and 360-degree cameras – technologies typically found in passenger cars. The price starts at €25,990.
The S80-L variant offers even more versatility with six seats and a 35 kWh battery, while retaining the same motor. It is priced at €32,990. WEV Electric also offers golf cars with two, four, and six seats, featuring a 48-volt platform and a 5 kW motor, suitable for use in companies and private areas.
The launch event at Motocross Malpensa allowed attendees to test the off-road vehicles in real-world conditions. This was a significant choice, as vehicles like these need to prove their traction capabilities, throttle response, torque management, and performance on rough terrain and steep slopes. It is precisely in these challenging environments that the new electric UTVs will be put to the test.
